The E-Panel is a dedicated solution for measuring electrostatic charge directly on flat-panel display (FPD) glass as it moves through production. Designed as a flexible, ultra-thin polyimide board that attaches to the backside of a glass panel, the E-Panel captures the real electrostatic environment your substrates experience not just snapshots from static test benches.
Whether you’re improving process stability, reducing defect rates, or validating ESD controls, the E-Panel provides clear, reliable insight into the charge conditions that impact product quality.
Eight-Zone Charge Measurement
The E-Panel includes eight sensing areas distributed along its one-meter length, enabling precise monitoring of potential differences in regions where electrostatic build-up typically occurs.
Thin, Flexible Polyimide Construction
Built as a lightweight and durable polyimide sheet, the E-Panel attaches smoothly to the backside of a glass panel using non-permanent adhesive, maintaining its shape without affecting processing steps.
Wet-Process and Vacuum Compatible
The electronics and battery are sealed under a chemical-resistant polyimide layer, allowing the E-Panel to withstand wet cleaning steps and even vacuum environments.
A small controller houses the measurement electronics and battery, connecting to the panel through spring contacts and magnets for secure, tool-friendly integration.
On-Board Logging with Real-Time Clock
The E-Panel records all voltages with timestamps, making it easy to correlate electrostatic events with specific process stages or handling sequences.
A handheld user interface snaps magnetically onto the controller to charge the E-Panel, download data, or perform zeroing and neutralization before measurements.
With up to two hours of continuous measurement on a single charge, the E-Panel can move freely through multiple tools and stations without interruption.
Analysis Software Included
Intuitive software tools allow engineers to visualize surface potentials, identify hotspots, and pinpoint the moments when electrostatic risks occur.

Why It Matters
Electrostatic charge is a major challenge in flat-panel display production. When glass substrates accumulate charge:
Because these issues often occur invisibly during handling and transport, traditional test methods fail to capture the true risk.
The E-Panel solves this by measuring the charge directly on a moving glass panel, giving process engineers:
